A Delayed Intro...

These random posts are a log of my hunt for inspiration.

After 5+ years as a furniture maker, and nearly 10 years in the high-end craft world, it was time to get out. Yes, building furniture is a romantic trade, and in the right context, a beautiful craft/medium to work in. But at the fast paced, underfunded production level, it's exhausting and frustrating. In other words, I was tired. As an artist, trained designer, and all around creative type, I want to be inspired, not tired. So I've rebranded myself, albeit vaguely, as a design nomad, as a wandering creative, searching for and collecting inspiration and ideas. At the same time, all the old mediums in which I found so much passion - photography, painting, drawing - are all at the fore again. And, because the mission is vague, or as I like to view it, open-ended, I'm free to pursue whatever bubbles up...
