Snow day = Painting day.

With the snow tapering off, but the roads still beyond slick, it's a day to stay in and hunker down in the studio. Last week I took a stab at a painting session that ended in frustration, it felt hollow. Why? Because I was quickly forced to face a basic truth - without an IDEA to drive the brush, I was just coloring.

Now, thanks to last weekend's trek to the Williams College Art Museum, I have an idea. So, canvasses have been re-primed, the aimless coloring painted over, and the studio heater is on. Time to go.
